Our Commitment to Quality

This section applies to our direct-to-consumer Archive Collection and reflects our intention to deliver a thoughtfully made, character-rich hardwood flooring product that stands the test of time when handled with care.

Installation Responsibility
Delivery and installation are coordinated by the client. We strongly recommend working with a licensed, insured, and experienced hardwood flooring professional who understands proper site conditions, acclimation needs, and industry standards. For best practices, your installer should consult the Wood Flooring Installation Guidelines and Methods published by the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA).

What to Expect in Appearance
Wood is a living material, and no two boards are alike. Our floors are designed to highlight the natural character, tone variation, and inherent beauty found in responsibly sourced hardwood. If you're aiming for a more uniform aesthetic, we suggest ordering extra material to allow for greater selectivity during installation.
Every plank is hand-inspected for integrity—not to eliminate natural character, but to ensure quality. If a board shows a clear, visible defect before it’s installed, please reach out and we’ll work with you to make it right.
Definition of Defect: A defect refers to a structural or surface irregularity that compromises the board’s function or stability—such as severe warping, splitting, or manufacturing damage—not natural features like knots, mineral streaks, or color variation.
Please note: We cannot offer replacements for material that has already been installed.

What’s Not Covered
Because this is a natural product and installation conditions are outside our control, we are unable to take responsibility for issues resulting from:

  • Improper installation or maintenance
  • Exposure to extreme environmental conditions or misuse
  • Natural variations in appearance, or changes over time due to age, light, or humidity
  • Installation in non-residential settings or by non-original purchasers

Scope of Our Responsibility
This commitment applies only to flooring purchased directly from Stephen Gamble. We are not responsible for third-party services, associated materials, or any indirect damages. Any resolution will not exceed the original purchase price of the affected material. We encourage you to keep records of your purchase and installation. If you have questions or encounter an issue, we’re here to help—please reach out.

Please retain your proof of purchase and installation details. Contact us for claims or additional support.
