    All our flooring is live sawn, this means wood is cut straight through the log, capturing a full range of grain patterns, from plain sawn to rift and quarter sawn. This method maximizes yield, enhances stability, and showcases the wood’s natural character with a blend of unique textures and variations.

  • GRADE

    Character-grade wood showcases the natural beauty of hardwood with unique knots, mineral streaks, and grain variations that add warmth and authenticity. This grade highlights the wood’s organic charm, making each plank one-of-a-kind while maintaining strength and durability for lasting appeal.

  • ORIGIN

    Wood that is sourced and milled in the United States ensures high quality, sustainable forestry practices, and supports local industries. Domestic milling allows for better quality control, reduced environmental impact from transportation, and adherence to strict industry standards. 01 / ORDER YOUR SAMPLE BOX

Choosing the perfect flooring starts with seeing it in person. Order our sample box to explore all six finishes in detail. Each sample is crafted in our 5-inch width and measures 10 inches long, giving you a substantial piece to place in your space. Observe how the samples interact with your walls, furniture, and lighting to find the finish that feels like home.

02 / CALCULATE YOUR COVERAGE

To begin, determine how much flooring your project will require. Start by measuring the length and width of the room (or rooms) where the flooring will be installed. Multiply these two numbers to find the total square footage, or use our coverage calculator. Don’t forget to include closets, hallways, and stair landings in your calculations. For irregularly shaped rooms, break the space into smaller rectangles, calculate the square footage for each, and add them together. For a seamless, cohesive look, we recommend choosing a single finish for the entirety of your home or each floor. This creates a unified flow between rooms, enhancing the overall design. If you prefer to add variety, selecting finishes by room can offer more delineation between living spaces.

03 / PLAN FOR A WASTE FACTOR

When ordering hardwood flooring, it’s important to include extra material to account for cuts, mistakes, and selective installation. The waste factor you choose depends on the look you want:


Add 15% Waste for a More Natural Look

If you want your floor to showcase the natural character of the wood, like knots, color variations, and grain patterns, add 15% to your total square footage. This allows you to set aside pieces with extreme variations while keeping plenty of options for a cohesive appearance.


Add 20% Waste for a Cleaner, More Uniform Look

If you prefer flooring with fewer visible imperfections or more uniform color and texture, add 20% to your total square footage. This gives you the flexibility to select only the most consistent boards for your space.

When selecting your finish, consider key elements such as color, tone, character, sheen, and texture. Each finish in our collection offers a unique personality, so take your time to envision how each will complement your home. Pay attention to how the finish changes under different lighting throughout the day, from the soft glow of morning sun to the warmth of evening light.


Additionally, choose your preferred plank width—5-inch planks offer timeless elegance, 6-inch planks add a balanced, transitional look, and 7-inch planks bring a contemporary, bold style to larger spaces. The width you select can dramatically influence the overall aesthetic of your flooring.

Once you’ve selected your finish, width, and coverage, place your order through our website for direct delivery. After your order is received, our team will carefully calculate the most accurate shipping cost based on your destination and order details. A team member will then reach out with a quoted shipping cost for your approval before finalizing your order—ensuring complete transparency and flexibility.


By allowing us to coordinate shipping after your order is placed, we can explore the most efficient and cost-effective options, including the possibility of handling delivery in-house. For certain orders, this not only reduces commercial shipping costs but also ensures that your flooring is transported with the utmost care. While we don’t provide installation services, we’re here to guide you in finding a skilled installer.
